STAIRWELL DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
Introduction
​The main stairwell of this building is a key aspect of the design. It cuts through the building so it looks out onto Regent Road and the back garden. This double length stair could be possible because for the duplex arrangement of the apartments. It serves as a light, pleasant and social space. Both public and private can experience the stair. The public and private stairs interlock as they wind upwards.

Kitchen space is under the stairwell because the site is sloping.

The yellow stair is the private staircase.

The cream staircase represents the public stair which leads to the roof garden and bar.
